Yamashita Koen, Yokohama
Yamashita Koen in Yokohama is a popular place for people to relax and enjoy. Couples stroll up and down the waterfront, families picnic on the grass, children play. The park was formally constructed after the 1923 earthquake, but has a history back to the opening of the Port to the West over 150 years ago.
Painting in Yamashita Koen
I took a walk around Yamashita Koen in Yokohama today after having lunch at Chinatown. The park was teeming with people enjoying the start of Golden Week…
Mitsubishi Museum, Minato Mirai
On a recent trip to Yokohama my family and I visited the Mitsubishi Industrial Museum at Minato Mirai. We were very surprised by the volume of information and amount of entertainment value the displays could provide. Definitely worth a trip if you are visiting the area. I think Monday's are holidays.
Yokohama Night View
On the last night of my trip to Yokohama I decided to brave the cold and take some pictures of the night lights. I didn't get much further than the bottom of the hotel complex, but was able to capture some of the different colors on display around Minato Mirai.
Museum Boy
I took this shot at the Mitsubishi Minatomirai Industrial Museum in Yokohama. I have more photos of the trip which I need to go through and sort out, but…
Yokohama View
The Landmark Tower in Yokohama gives a great view of the whole City. It is the tallest building in Japan at 296 metres. The view from the 69th floor observatory deck is great on a clear day.
