Visiting Mitsubishi Minatomirai Industrial Museum today
- What it is: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' science and technology museum, opened in 1994. Hands-on exhibits cover space, sea, sky and land, with models of rockets, jet engines and submarines.
- Getting there: 3 minutes on foot from exit 5 (Keyaki-dori) of Minatomirai Station. Sakuragicho Station is also close.
- Hours: Weekdays 10:00-15:00 (last entry 14:30). Weekends and holidays 10:00-16:00 (last entry 15:30). Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays (the next day if a holiday), at New Year and on special closure days.
- Admission: ¥500 for adults, ¥300 for junior and senior high students, ¥200 for elementary pupils. Free for preschoolers and over-65s with ID.
- Then and now: The entrance and facade were renewed in July 2025.

Mitsubishi Museum, Minato Mirai
On a recent trip to Yokohama my family and I visited the Mitsubishi Industrial Museum at Minato Mirai. We were very surprised by the volume of information and amount of entertainment value the displays could provide. Definitely worth a trip if you are visiting the area. I think Monday's are holidays.
