Visiting Yebisu Garden Place today

  • What it is: A complex on the former site of the Yebisu beer brewery. It has restaurants, a cinema, The Westin Tokyo hotel and the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum.
  • Getting there: About 5 minutes on foot from the JR Ebisu Station east exit along the Yebisu Sky Walk moving walkway. It is about 7 minutes from the Hibiya Line station.
  • Best time: From November each year a large Baccarat chandelier is displayed in the plaza. Restaurant floors high in Yebisu Garden Place Tower give free views over the city.
  • Then and now: The Museum of Yebisu Beer closed in October 2022. YEBISU BREWERY TOKYO replaced it on 3 April 2024. Its 45-minute tour costs ¥1,800, is in Japanese only and must be booked online. It is closed on Tuesdays.
