Shibuya PARCO 渋谷PARCO
Visiting Shibuya PARCO today
- What it is: A fashion and culture building that reopened on 22 November 2019 after about three years of rebuilding, with 193 shops at opening, as well as the PARCO Theater and WHITE CINE QUINTO cinema on the 8th floor.
- 6th floor: The game and character floor. Nintendo TOKYO, Nintendo's first official store in Japan, and Pokémon Center SHIBUYA, the first Pokémon Center in the Shibuya area, are both here. A pixel-art Mario statue stands by the outside stairs.
- Getting there: About 5 minutes on foot from Shibuya Station.
- Hours: 6th floor 10:00–21:00. Other shops 11:00–21:00 and restaurants 11:30–23:00 (7th-floor restaurants 11:00–23:00). Closed on irregular days, with different hours over New Year.
- Tip: Before 11:00, only the 6th floor is open. The stairs open at 9:30, so go up and queue along them; escalators and lifts to other floors start around 11:15. On busy days such as weekends and holidays, Nintendo TOKYO uses numbered entry tickets, handed out on 1F before opening and by the Mario statue at the 6F outside stair entrance afterwards.
