Visiting Moominvalley Park today

  • What it is: A Moomin theme park on the shore of Lake Miyazawa, with Moominhouse, shows, exhibits and lakeside walks. Part of the Metsä complex; opened March 2019.
  • Getting there: Seibu Ikebukuro Line to Hanno Station, then a Seibu bus from the north exit to the Moominvalley Park / Metsä stop, about 13–20 minutes.
  • Hours: Weekdays 10:00–17:00; weekends and holidays 10:00–18:00. Hours can change on special days.
  • Admission: 1-Day Pass: adult ¥3,900 in advance, ¥4,300 on the day; child (4 to high school) ¥1,000 / ¥1,300.
  • Tip: Same-day tickets are limited and sold until one hour before closing, so buy online in advance.

Outdoor lakeside park; spring and autumn are most pleasant, with autumn leaves around November.
