Visiting Chichibu Hitsujiyama Park shibazakura today

  • What it is: A hillside in Hitsujiyama Park planted with over 400,000 moss phlox in 10 varieties, forming pink and white patterns with the Chichibu mountains behind.
  • Getting there: Seibu Ikebukuro Line to Seibu-Chichibu or Yokoze Station, then a walk up to the park.
  • Hours: Paid period in 2026 was 10–30 April, 8:00–17:00.
  • Admission: ¥500 adults during the paid period; free for junior high students and younger. Free outside the paid period.
  • Tip: Bloom usually runs mid April to early May. Parking costs ¥700 and fills quickly; the train is easier.
