Shibuya Streets Vol 9

Looking back from half way up Dogenzaka back towards the station area.

It wasn’t as sunny this afternoon and so was a good chance to take a look at Shibuya in a different light. The trees looked cold as well.

The trees looked really cold and lonely in this photo. In other seasons they provide great shade and color.

This is a well traveled shortcut to get from one side of Dogenzaka across through Tokyu Bunkamura and beyond. It used to be quite seedy but recently new shops have come into the area and it is on the up and up.

Uniqlo coming to this space very soon now. Above here is the billiard and darts bar that I have written about before.

Michael Jackson is back in Japan. At least, his video is now on sale at BIC Camera. I am sure this will be quite popular for a little while and then disappear, to be brought out on selected anniversaries.

Nice fashion here. I like the matching pants/socks, but wasn't quick enough to get a proper shot of it.

Looks like a new selection of ads on the Station as well. McDonalds Burgers are not here anymore.

Which season of the year would you most like to visit Japan and Shibuya?

Definitely winter! I’m already missing Shibuya. D;

Just not summer… looks really hot and well over 30°C.
Early spring or autumn. Winter is always good, as from your pics it’s like a non-existent season (not like europe at least).

Nice set of pics. “Good looks” included anyway 😉

Well I’ve been there in autumn, summer and winter, so I’d like to go next time in the spring! Too bad my school always interferes ><

Isnt the soccer field right here. Is everyone allowed to play there or do you have to have a membership

Yes, the soccer field is just up there. I think teams have their practice sessions. Not sure if you can rent it by the hour maybe?

SMAP was the best Softbank could do to promote their company? Bring back the little doggy. 🙂

RT @tweetmeme Shibuya Streets Vol 9, Japan shibuya streets | Shibuya246 http://bit.ly/bdtix5 It’s still Shibuya no matter what season it is. For me I would like to visit in the spring or early autumn. With your photos the colors still stand out great amongst the chill of winter.
Gotta get there. 🙂

A fantastic place for a bbq on a hot day. Pity that is the Police Station. I don’t imagine they have many BBQ’s there 😉
