Visiting Dotonbori today

  • What it is: Osaka's best-known food and nightlife strip along the Dotonbori canal, famous for giant 3D shop signs and the Glico running-man billboard.
  • Getting there: Right outside Namba Station (Osaka Metro Midosuji, Sennichimae and Yotsubashi lines; Nankai and Kintetsu).
  • Hours: The street is always open; shop and restaurant hours vary.
  • Admission: Free.
  • Tip: Walk the Tombori Riverwalk beside the canal for a calmer route and the classic Glico view from Ebisu-bashi bridge.
