Visiting Kyoto Ohara Public Course today

  • What it is: An 18-hole mountain course in Ohara, north of central Kyoto, par 72. Listed on booking sites as Kyoto Ohara Public Course (京都大原パブリックコース).
  • Getting there: By car about 20 minutes from Mano IC on the Kosei Road. By train, a taxi of about 20 minutes from Kokusaikaikan Station (Kyoto subway Karasuma Line) or about 25 minutes from Keihan Demachiyanagi Station. No shuttle bus.
  • Playing: Self-play with electromagnetic-induction ride carts. No regular closed days.
  • Tip: Book through the course (075-744-2331) or a booking site; the course has no website of its own that could be found.
