I forgot to post this a while ago when a friend told me about it. San-x released a special Rilakkuma set for the New Year. They came on sale on November 14, 2009 on the Rilakkuma net shop, but were quickly snapped up and last I heard, are all sold out.

2010 is the Year of the Tiger. Can you see Rilakkuma holding the tiger?

Looks like 2010 is going to be a big year for Rilakkuma and friends. If you need any help with net shopping drop me a line or leave a note in the comments.

What would be your most wanted Rilakkuma product?

  • OMG I want those! I think my most wanted Rilakkuma product would be a giant plush Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma, and I mean those really really huge ones as big as a small kid. ^^

  • Korilakkuma looks so cute with the little tiger! And like alafista, my most wanted Rilakkuma product would be the giant Rilakkuma plush toy.

  • Oh that’s too bad they sold out so quickly, but I can see why, they are terribly cute^^ I’m a bit sad that my year of ox is ending. Nothing lucky happened for me XP

  • RT @Shibuya246: Rilakkuma Year of Tiger, 2010, Japan character goods | Shibuya246 Your are really tempting me this time. You know Rilakkuma is my fave and the 1 I would deffinately want would be the one w/him holding the tiger so cool. When are they going to be back in stock? Any clue?
On another subject, with it being wintertime in Japan, I don’t know how much snow you get in your area, but checking back home in Green Bay and they’re fixing to get 8-12 inches in the next day or so. I’ve forgotten what that kind of snow is like. Brrrr…..

  • They are AMAZING! I’ve promised not to buy any more plush toys, but every Rilakkuma mascot I see makes me rethink that…

  • They are so adorable……any idea how i could get them?

a little off topic, i’ll being visiting Japan around Shinjuku area during Christmas/New Year, is there any Rilakkuma store nearby?
I’ll have around 2 – 3 hrs for shopping only so i think i should stay around Shinjuku
