Around the railway stations at night in Japan, you often see the live street performers take up a position and play for the crowd. Some of these performers are quite good.
You are supposed to get permission from the Police before performing, and also for handing out leaflets etc., but some people just set up and wait to be told to stop.
This performer out on Sunday night, seemed to be popular with the kids.
What do you think about Street Performers outside the station? Do you have any favorite places you see live street performers?

Some performers are great! A lot of them are discovered that way here in NYC. I remember once I was in Akiba on a Sunday and saw a bunch there. They all ran away when the cops came tho, lol. I thought it was weird because it didn't seem like they were doing anything illegal.
If you dont have a permit then it is illegal to perform, but the performers can be quite good and i enjoy seeing them around the station
Will have to wait till they build the rail line up here in my neck of the woods. They're doing it a section at a time. From Dallas north through all the cities in a row, it'll take them forever. Have only seen scenes like this on tv and the movies. Do they put containers out to collect donations? yes, it looks like it has been written on there
there can be some very good ones
渋谷 大好き!!:D
Sometimes you have to show your skills, sometimes you have to hear not so skilled…
Either way people need to be, as long as the police palys along and just make them run away,
no damage done.
very true 🙂
