Visiting Toyama Kansui Park today

  • What it is: A waterfront park on the Fugan Canal near central Toyama, with the twin-towered Tenmonkyo bridge, lawns and a much-photographed Starbucks.
  • Getting there: About 9 minutes on foot from JR Toyama Station.
  • Hours: Park open at all times. Tenmonkyo bridge observation towers 9:00–21:30.
  • Admission: Free
  • Tip: On clear days the Tateyama mountains rise behind the park. The bridge and fountains are lit at night.
