Visiting Oboke Gorge Boat Ride today

  • What it is: A 30-minute boat trip through Oboke Gorge, where the Yoshino River runs between sculpted crystalline-schist cliffs.
  • Getting there: About 20 minutes' walk from JR Oboke Station on the Dosan Line.
  • Hours: 9:00–17:00 (last departure 16:30), year-round; may stop in strong wind or bad weather.
  • Admission: Adults ¥1,500, children (3 to elementary age) ¥750.
  • Tip: Boarding is beside Route 32 near Hotel Oboke-kyo Mannaka, which has a restaurant and shop.
