Visiting Huis Ten Bosch today

  • What it is: A Dutch-themed resort park in Sasebo with canal cruises, rides, a night illumination season and official hotels whose guests receive a passport.
  • Getting there: JR Huis Ten Bosch Station is about a 7-minute walk from the entrance building.
  • Admission: The 1 Day Passport is ¥7,600 for adults (18+), ¥6,600 for junior and senior high school students, ¥5,000 for elementary school students and ¥5,900 for over-65s. Children 3 and under are free. The After 3 Passport, valid from 3:00 p.m., is ¥5,900 for adults. Prices are higher on designated event days.
  • Hours: Opening hours change by date and on event days, so check the official hours page before going.
  • Best time: The winter illumination, The Starlight Million (formerly Kingdom of Lights), runs from 6 November 2026 to 25 February 2027. The After 3 Passport suits an evening visit for the lights.
