I got up early today for some reason and was surprised to see a wonderful pink sky outside the window. When I went out on the street I took a few quick shots and ended up with this as one of the first ones. Almost looks like a lightning strike. It reminds me of the scene from “Back to the Future”

I caught the early train back to Tokyo this morning after taking these. It was warm and muggy the last few days in Kyoto, but Tokyo definitely feels like a stronger heat.

Thanks. My eyes hadn’t really opened at this point when I took it, but once I came back and saw the photos over a cup of tea I was thinking, “timing is everything”
