The aqueduct seen here brings water down from Lake Biwa and was constructed during the Meiji Period. The water is processed in a plant near Nanzenji Temple. The aqueduct is located inside the grounds of the Nanzenji Temple and combined with the natural surrounds, with colors changing according to the season, it can make for a peaceful excursion.
