Checking out the Oden on sale here. The fuda give you a good indication of prices.

I left it a bit late to go the convenience store today. Busy at the immigration center renewing my visa and then trying to work out some problems on the computer. Before I knew it, it was already 10pm and I had not eaten dinner. Lucky there are plenty of conbini’s nearby to help me out.

Some new soups on offer. Tomato Cream and Milk Cream.

Nice fruit juice selection. I want to try the sakuranbo lychee.

More drinks to match the sakura. This strawberry milk looks cool.

ramune keeps coming back in different shapes and sizes. This time we have some popular candy treats. Also I like the look of the candy drops on the right.

I ended up getting a bento and 2 onigiris, with a vitamin power drink ^^.

I hadn’t seen those Cisco’s Petit Brownies before. I think they look like review fodder! That being said, I had something made by Cisco’s (which makes cereal, too) and wasn’t too impressed.

Conbini Monday Wk49, Japan Conbini Monday http://bit.ly/a2aryA We all have our days when we are so busy that we have forgotten to eat. The Dole and Lipton brands of juices have been here for ages. I especially like the Lipton Green tea in bottles can get them 2/$3.00 in the stores. Have never seen the Starbucks sold in stores like that though, just in bottles or cans. Too expensive for me. Seems like you can always find something to eat at a conbini no matter what time of the day or night.
Do you have to renew your visa there every year? My wife is having computer problems also, always having to hunt for fixes. Her Acer is almost 6 yrs old. But needs to keep it current for her business. Stores over here in my market area just don’t want to open up to Asian products. Sure they only carry a very small and limited variety of the basic products. Hard to convince them that there is a wide variety of great products that Japan has to offer. But we still keep trying.
Have a great week.

That is the most comprehensible oden display I’ve ever seen (though the top left picture looks like a gun). Most places I’ve seen just tend to have “ใŠใงใ‚“” on a sign, and a vat of mystery objects in murky liquid. I’ve never been game to partake ๐Ÿ˜€

The strawberries and cream drink sounds yummy, though!

We’ve decided to plan on going to Japan Dec 2012. If it’s going to be the end of the world at least I will get to choose where I will be and Japan it is and munching on these great snacks too. ๐Ÿ˜€
