daaaaaaaaamn. Awesome view !
I’ve always walked past/underneath/next to landmark tower but never been inside. Didn’t know they had an observatory (tough a building that large it’s gotta) And even higher than my favorite observatory in Tokyo; Mori art tower .
I love Yokohama, it’s a totally different vibe from Tokyo, and indeed so close, you can easily get a train there and depending which one/ where you get on it can take 30 minutes. Too bad it’s winter, there are some nice parks there.
P.S Did you ever go to the “Raumen” museum in Shin Yokohama ? It’s amazing ! Look it up if you haven’t heard of it.
I had planned to go to the Ramen Museum, but we changed plans when it rained and went to the nearby Mitsubishi Center instead. Ramen musem next time for sure.
Well spotted. The roller coaster goes into the hole where the water is and comes out the other side. I didn’t ride it but it must be a strange feeling to almost hit the ground near the water. 🙂
via @Shibuya246: Yokohama View, Japan Photo-Post | Shibuya246 http://bt.io/DIKe Another place to visit if i ever make it over there. In all saying a great set of photos, and a trip w/your family all wrapped up in one.
Yokohama was definitely my favorite spot that i visited when i went to Japan. It was so refreshing and the air felt nice compared to Tokyo. I find myself staring mostly at Yokohama stadium.. im so amazed by it for some reason lol
Gorgeous photos! I really should have gone up the landmark on my (very brief) visit to Yokohama.
uwa~~ i like yokohama a lot for some reason. so thanks for the photos!
You are welcome. Yokohama is a cool place and so close to Tokyo 🙂
Great pics! Such a beautiful day and the theme park was empty? Must put Yokohama down on my list to visit when I get to Japan.
Couldn’t see anyone from up on the 69th floor.

Lovely shots – such a great view from up there! I’m really looking forward to getting down to Yokohama next time I’m in Japan : )
Meanwhile, does that rollercoaster in #46 finish in the water? It just seems to stop there. #21 cuts it off just above the point in question…

Beautiful day for photos. Pretty awesome that you can see the Tokyo skyline from Yokohama 🙂
I can see Yokohama from my apartment window as well http://shibuya246.com/2009/11/01/view-from-my-window/
At first sight I thought it was the Burj Al Arab in Dubai… my eyes were like O___O

Great pics, really!!
Thanks. I’m not sure which structure came first?

A great City for sure.
Looks like some dirt on the lens here? What is a good way to clean the lenses?
I think its just that u are taking the pic from inside the helicopter, and windows is dirt :P!
Tokyo Tower
Zo no Hana Koen (Elephants Nose Park), originally part of the landscape. Other land around it is reclaimed from the water.
Yamashita Koen looks quite small from up here.
Airplane at Haneda
Dirt on the lens here. I think it might be on the inside.
Mode Gakuen, Shinjuku
DoCoMo Tower, Yoyogi
Opera City, Hatsudai
Cerulean Tower, Shibuya?
Roppongi Hills
Nice wind turbine. There were lots of these around the Port area.
Another Plane
That is a big DoComo Tower to live next to.
Mt Fuji?
Not tokyo Tower here
Love the stadium! Wish I was there.
