Spotted this Christmas Bear on the train heading towards Makuhari the other day. I wonder if bears ride for free?
I saw this about the same time I posted on the Tokyo Live Blogging site at Dannychoo.com talking about pets on trains. The poster shows that pets need to ride in cages and keep the head inside the cages at all times.
Looks like the bears don’t need to go in cages at all ^__^.

That is a cute little bear, and it is all set for the holidays. I used to carry a backpack thay I had all different finds of key chains hanging from it. People would tell me it looked childish, but I didn’t pay the no mind, it was my choice.
On the subject of animals on trains, Neksus brings up a good point. What do handicapped citizens that have animals as service dogs do there in Japan? Do they have a seperate car for them? With seeing how the trains are super crowded during rush hours, it would be impossible to bring your service animal along. Could you check up on this, and let us know?
I think there are exceptions for blind dogs. I am pretty sure handicapped people would try and avoid rush hour for that reason.
