Rilakkuma in Hiroshima

While I was traveling in Hiroshima the other week I found this souvenir in a gift shop. Looks like Rilakkuma gets around everywhere.

The black version of the Rilakkuma iPhone case. This one is no longer in store, but on the back of my iPhone ^_^.

After a trip to the Tokyo Station Rilakkuma Store I now have a hard case cover for my iPhone with style.

The back of the hard cover iPhone case has a full body design of Rilakkuma. The other 2 colors available just show the face. Apparently the black version is quite popular.

This is the anniversary badge I got from the store for Rilakkuma's 7th anniversary. I was one day early to receive the Tokyo Store 1 year badge.

The French Bonjour Rilakkuma series came out recently. There were plenty of products in store including this set.

I went to the Rilakkuma Store at Tokyo Station again yesterday. This time I was in search of a case for my iPhone. There was lots of activity in store, with the new “Bonjour Rilakkuma” series on display, chocolate magnets and plenty of new Rilakkuma plush designs.

The staff were really friendly at the store and said it was ok to take some photos. Rilakkuma is so friendly. Some of these photos were taken with the iPhone, others with the Lumix GF-1. You can click on the menu over the photo to see the camera info.

The Winter Olympics in on in Canada and Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori are putting in their support. Looks like Korilakkuma took the gold medal here.

Looks like Rilakkuma might be getting ready to go out into the cold. He has gloves and hat on. Maybe this is a winter edition plush.

Kit Kats for Rilakkuma. The Japanese sign is a nice play in words saying "sure to win きっと勝つ kitto katsu. The head bands are traditional with the juken benkyo, entrance exam, study time, and the kit kats might just help students study harder and win!

There was so much to see it took me a while to remember to check out the iPhone covers.

These are really popular items. iPod and iPhone covers. No doubt someone is probably working on a Rilakkuma cover for the iPad as well ^^.

In the end I was able to get a black hard case cover. I have some photos of the case when I attached it to my phone.

Special promotion on at the Tokyo Station Store right now to celebrate their 1st anniversary. Souvenir pin badges were being giving out to customers who bought more than 2,000 Yen worth of goods.

Wonderful Poster image of Rilakkuma and gang dressed up in their French outfits. Looks like they are plannng a party.

I saw on a website recently that a French outfit version of Rilakkuma plush was going to be available. The Tokyo Gift Show is on at the moment at Odaiba, Tokyo. Last year I went to the September Show and Rilakkuma made an appearance. I wonder if he will be dressed up this year differently?

Went shopping today at Yokohama and only had my iphone with me. Here are a few shots from some shops I couldn’t go past without checking the goods. Looks like it is going to be a good year for Rilakkuma, Gachapin, Mameshiba and Ghibli.

Forgot to post this on Monday. When I was at the Rilakkuma store I spotted this New Year decoration featuring the three main characters. Looks like the are ready for the New Year of the Tiger, 2010.

Found this at a convenience store, but couldn't catch the right angle with the iPhone to get a good shot.

6 Rilakkuma key protectors in the set to collect.

I picked up a Rilakkuma key protector for my apartment keys. It came in a round plastic ball which when opened popped out the “HAPPY XMAS” Rilakkuma themed protector. The idea is that it covers the top of the key so that you have a softer object in your bag or pocket when carrying around your keys.

You can see on my key chain I also have a small Tokyo Station plate and DoCoMo character goods.

The key for my apartment has dimples in it rather than just a cut line. This is supposed to make it harder to forge the keys. It also looks a lot cooler ^^.

The key protector came in this Rilakkuma plastic ball.

I forgot to post this a while ago when a friend told me about it. San-x released a special Rilakkuma set for the New Year. They came on sale on November 14, 2009 on the Rilakkuma net shop, but were quickly snapped up and last I heard, are all sold out.

2010 is the Year of the Tiger. Can you see Rilakkuma holding the tiger?

Some Christmas cheer from Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma. Do you want one of these?

Following the recent giveaway contest I decided the packages I was sending out needed a few extra items added from the Rilakkuma store. sorry, guys it has taken so long. I was planning to go and pick up some extra stuff earlier, but got distracted. The packages are going out tomorrow with the extras.

Before getting to the Rilakkuma store, I took a few detours. Here is what I found,

My Doraemon on sale at Seibu Loft

Bandai released a “My Doraemon” Robot a while ago. This is the first time I saw it advertised in the shops. It looked quite neat. You can see on the top shelf, the display is showing how you put the robot together yourself.

The “My Doraemon” has a vocab of over 1,000 words and a number of sensors. If you leave him on your desk he will jabber along all day. Could get a little bit annoying after a while.

The price is around $300. Do you like Doraemon products? Would you enjoy having a Doraemon Robot on your desk?
