I was lucky enough to have a game of golf near Mt Fuji some years ago, and today I could go back to the same course and see the sunrise from the base of Mt Fuji. Of course, it would be a whole different scene at the top, but looking from the bottom upwards also was nice.

Thanks. I woke up at 4:30 and looked out of my window to see Fuji-san taking up the whole view. Rushed outside and was glad to take a few shots before it got cloudy
Personally I’m fascinated of Mt. Fuji and I always try to take great photos, but usually I’m so unlucky, that I hardly get to see it! ;___;
Thus far I had like 1 day where I could see Mt. Fuji clearly and one of the photos of that day I’m currently using as banner in my Facebook Account.

Yes, I climbed Mt. Fuji 2 years ago.
As always when it comes to this stubborn volcano I as very unlucky with the weather and climbed it during a typhoon. Yet I made it to the top, but of course couldn’t see the sunrise 🙁
Always tough to predict the weather. Hope you have better luck on your next climb
