Eiheiji Temple
Eiheiji Temple, located in Fukui-ken, was founded over 800 years ago, although the temple was rebuilt a number of times over the years. It is still an active temple today training monks in its teachings. It is possible for anyone to stay at the temple overnight and join in the routine and lessons of the monks.

Walking up the main entrance taking in the peaceful greenery, you get the sense that this is a special place

The temple is built on the hillside so there are stairs and gardens everywhere. It makes for a very nice setting

The buildings are connected with stair corridors allowing you to walk around the entire complex undercover

The covered structure on the left is one of the inner staircases. Going up the stairs reminded of a scene from an anime

Truly incredible photos. Reminds me so much of the temples I visited in Kyoto. Thanks for sharing.
No problems. Temples are always a good visit
These pictures are amazing. Absolutely love them. Especially #4. It looks as if the statue is floating above the moss. That’s put a smile on my face. Cheers.
Thank you. Much appreciated. I enjoyed visiting this area.
