Ryoanji Temple

  Jul 17th, 2010

There are 2 sets of gardens at Ryoanji Temple, the dry rock garden and the wet gardens. There are fifteen rocks in the dry garden raked with white gravel. There are many stories about the meaning behind these rocks and how they are laid out. It is a good place to come and mediate on life and other subjects

Lots of people sitting here thinking about life as they look out over the garden

It is always good to visit Ryoan-ji. I first visited here a long time ago and much appreciate the experience. The atmosphere changes in the different seasons and I enjoy watching the rocks in the garden.

A great place to sit and think about the path ahead of you.
