Sakura season means lots of picnics and hanami. These kids are learning the tradition fast. The weather is a bit overcast today, but they seem to be enjoying their time under the sakura tree eating their snacks.

Do you normally go somewhere for hanami? Where would you like to go if you were in Japan for sakura season?

Lovely, kids need some fun.

Do kids on trip have to wear a distinctive yellow hat to recognize their status?

Kindergarten Sakura, Japan Living http://bit.ly/azK9G1 Youngsters learning about the sakura will have a better understanding once older. With the abundance of parks and such you could stay in the Shibuya area and branch out from there. We really don’t have sakura matsuris around here. One of the communities here has a Peanut festival.
