Some explanation and speeches about the new Tokyo Site and the Japan Times.
The launch party for the new Tokyo.JapanTimes.co.jp Site was on tonight at Roppongi Hills. Lots of people gathered to hear about the launch and catch up. The Site is focused on photos taken showing the beauty and culture of Tokyo.
The room was quite dark and if you look at the camera detail for a few shots you can see the ISO heading up over 1000 quickly. One shot was around 4000 ISO but the noise quality still held together well.

Prizes to be won for the best tweets. Looks like a copy of the Akihabara Guide by White Rabbit Press. I have a contest coming up soon with this as a prize also.

These beautiful models were at the event taking a few photos. They agreed to my request to capture a few shots. Thank you.
All three were enjoying the photo session. The light was quite low in the room. I wish we could have been in a studio with good lighting.

I think NekoLover was referring to the light-painting. If that’s the case, you just do a little longer exposure on your camera while someone moves a light in the shape of, well, whatever.
Any light source will do. I use my iPhone and the Flashlight app sometimes for this. You can pick different colors too.
ok, Jonny had me set the camera to “bulb” and then hold my finger down on the shutter release until he had finished moving the flash around. quite an interesting effect. color would be good to try too.

I never had the opportunity to go events like this, but I'm professionally too young to be "heavy" enough.

Any lens can do that if you don’t properly focus *lol*

Tokyo.JapanTimes Launch, Japan Living http://bit.ly/cktu4E Another great looking event for bloggers and non bloggers in Japan to meet up. It wouldn’t be an event without the world famous Danny Choo and Shibuya246 in attendence. I’m not in any social circle to attend event like these. Who knows one day maybe. That lighting effect is really cool, maybe you could experiment w/it more. Yes Joesph Tame looks shy in photos but watching his videos on you tube, he sure can get wound up and is really funny.
