Canadian maple syrup frozen crepes. What a combination. Looks like there is a bit of a Candian maple syrup trend happening at the moment. More products to follow.
The new products are starting to roll into the convenience stores quickly again. It is surprising how many new products that are and how quickly they disappear if sales do not come straight away. I am having to snap some pictures when I first see the product, because it may not be there if I come back later to follow up.
Family Mart has some great drink selections. This one is Morinaga's melon latte. Sounds amazing. There is a non fat grapefruit yoghurt drink on the shelf there as well.
Jagabee have a new flavor out which is back to basics, "lightly salted". The Happee Jagabee
Jagariko from calbee popping out a pink packaged product, plum jagariko. This one looks more like a product for the women. If the guys start bringing back pink potato chips they might get a few looks. With Sakura season around the corner though, the pink could be explained off that way.
More Canadian maple at work here. This time its a fresh crepe rather than the frozen variety.
Still loads of good throat sweets out. I think the packets are starting to get bigger. The ones on the right are mixed with ginger. Very nice. A great excuse to get a sore throat.
These koala cookies have been popular for a long time. These flavors are new though, custard waffle and strawberry milk. Which would you like to try first?
I like the look of this new product. Rather than cookies made from flour there are quite a few snack foods in Japan made from beans. This flavor is raspberry yogurt.
More snack food this time a tiramisu flavored bar. The Japanese really took to the tiramisu desert in a big way. I am surprised there are not more cookies made with its flavor.
I normally go to the conbini to buy an onigiri or pick up a quick drink, but I always spend a lot of time checking out the bento corners. I used to eat them a lot but not so much anymore. They are still good to look at though.
Do you go the conbini mainly for drinks, snacks or meals?
