Have you ever wanted to own your own Pokkuri shoes?
The pokkuri shoes are traditional wooden platform shoes. They are the shoes that are often worn by Maiko during their apprentice as Geisha. They are wonderful at keeping the kimono off the ground and away from getting dirty.

As usual I was quite interested to find these platform shoes online at Amazon.

This is a photo showing the detail on the black lacquer of the shoe.

Have you ever worn pokkuri before?

If so, what experiences have you had in learning how to walk in pokkuri?
