Gachapin and Mukku. Are you following them on Twitter?
Went shopping today at Yokohama and only had my iphone with me. Here are a few shots from some shops I couldn’t go past without checking the goods. Looks like it is going to be a good year for Rilakkuma, Gachapin, Mameshiba and Ghibli.

Plenty of Ghibli here for everyone.

Mei from Tonari no Totoro and the Neko bus as well.

Totoro guarding the entrance to this store. He looks surprised by the guy passing by in black.

There are lots of different types and colors of Mameshiba. Here are just a few.

New Rilakkuma items out for 2010.

A few Rilakkuma hiding out on the top shelf.

K-ON and Nodame gacha gacha machines.
See anything you like?

I have one of this at home!! Its my favorite totoro plush.
view on photoMe too! I have a small grey one and a larger blue one. I love their “fur”, it’s much nicer than the standard material that you find on most other plushes.
The quality does seem to be better than most, doesn’t it. very soft.
NEKOBASU! This brings back highschool memories.
view on photoBizarre facial expressions on those characters in the top photo. Love them though. I’m looking forward to when I’ll have the opportunity to do some shopping there.
bring plenty of cash
YIKES!
view on photoThe ever popular Gacha machines. I wish they were more popular overhere.
view on photoRT @tweetmeme Japan Characters, Japan character goods | Shibuya246 http://bit.ly/7dUNwf It’s good to see fresh new styles for the new year. The Ghibli characters and stories are priceless. I wish the Gacha machines would sell better over here. The ones we have are just cheap and imitation looking. I’d probably go broke, haha trying those out.
Have fun in Yokahama with your family, and take care.
I love this post~! Character goods are my favorite things haha. I was just in Yokohama a couple days ago, and went to those same stores as you. Thanks for sharing the photos^^
You are welcome. They are easy stores to wander into, hard stores to pull yourself away from

view on photoHow do you move the notes around on the photo?
There is no edit function, so you have to move the note before saving. When you hover over the photo you can see the “Add Note” button in the bottom right. Click on that and the box to add text appears in the top left corner of the photo. You should be able hover over that box, click the left button of the mouse and move it. You can enlarge left and down. Tell me if there is a problem. I will be upgrading the annotate note system after I get back from Yokohama. Need to test it a bit more first.
I love this fluffy Rilakkuma.
view on photoThe material is nice and silky soft on these. They do a good job of making great products.
This one is adorable!
