Thanks. I'll take some sepia ones and post them. With the air being cool at the moment, there should be some nice contrasts. thanks for suggesting :)

These photos were taken on a really warm autumn day when the temp was probably over 20c. Right now, the temp varies greatly depending on the day. Today there is a slight rain and the air is cool. I get cold so would wear a scarf and thick down jacket. Most people on the street are not wearing scarf and hat yet, but some sort of jacket is required.

Many places you would probably visit in Kyoto, temples etc, can be in the shaded areas and you would be better off with warmer clothing. Kyoto is normally very cold in winter and hot in summer due to its bonchi (basin style) shape.

It could turn warm again tomorrow but I would still want a light jacket or sweater.

If you are coming in 2-3 weeks time, it is only going to get colder. I would bring a scarf, hat and decent coat, but also have some lighter clothes packed in case we have a beautiful warm day. Even if its warm in the day, you will find night time has a chill about it. Some warm underwear would be worth bringing as well.

Expect to be out and about walking and catching public transport a lot on your trip so plan light but warm.

Hope you enjoy.

Hi,
I found your website by chance as I wanted to have a live photoes of the clothings that people in Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo are wearing today so that I can plan what jackets clothes to bring when I visit your beautiful country next week. Can you give me an idea? Do I bring a light jacket - no padding with fibre/down feather like those thick winter jackets? I am really at loss! Please help.
Thank you.

RT @Shibuya246: Shibuya Streets Vol6, Japan shibuya streets | Shibuya246 http://bt.io/AMZs
Where did all these people come from? The only stores I reconized were the Jimmy Choo and McDoanalds. The rest I have never heard of. Don't keep up to much w/that many fancy fashion names. But if you got the money or CC, just head to Shibuya and Harajuku, shop till you drop! :)
Strange name for a clothing store "Mountain Hard Wear" a play on the word Hardware over here means to me a store to go to if you have to fix something. Over here we have one called "Ace" the helpful hardware store. I can see that it helps to have an overhead walk way there to get across the street. Comes in handy doesn't it?
The train station building, looks likes it's from another country not Japan. And I also wonder what kind of uniform those 2 girlrs were wearing
Well have a great week.
And another Conbini monday. :)
