The signing underway as fans lined up to buy copies

Publicity for the signing event showing Danny Choo and Amano Ai

The OTACOOL book signing event was held at Kotobukiya's store in Akihabara in the Radio Kaikan

The backdrop display for the signing event at Akihabara

Everyone got their book signed by both Danny a.k.a Dancing Stormtrooper and Julie a.k.a Amano Ai

Danny signing for a fan whilst Amano Ai keeps the cameras happy

There were plenty of photo opportunities for those that came along

The event got crowded quickly with all the cameras trying to catch their favorite angle

Fans waiting in line for Danny and Amano Ai to sign the books

A good grip on the 'Worldwide Otaku Rooms'

An enjoyable event for both fans and organizers

Amano Ai, sporting a Danny Choo design made costume

Amano Ai extended Danny a bit of a hand. Are those pink tinted glasses?

More and more fans waiting patiently in line to have OTACOOL signed

As with most of Danny's events, those that shoot can also be shot

Picking up my personal copy of OTACOOL. Thanks guys

Smiling for the photos must have been harder work than signing the books

A fan checking out Danny's T-Shirt

Time for a quick drink break before the line started getting busy again

Couple of shots here for DannyChoo.com no doubt. Better check there later to see what was taken

A couple of service shots from Amano Ai to mist up the camera lenses

The crowd started to move closer and sales looked they might go through the roof at this point
You can see larger photos at the Flickr set for this event. If you want to reblog and use these you may do so if you link back to this site. Thanks
Also, you can check out more details about the book at Danny’s Site.

A Great EVENT=EPIC WIN! And you were there to take the epic photos:) And Amano Ai is a great add to his staff she brings the kawaii factor to the Top! That shirt that Danny is wearing will be one of the shirts that he will have for sale at his website in the near future. I like everyone else wish that they could be there also. On photo #13 that might be a reflection or it could be tinted glasses.
I just wish, wish wish some day I can get to Japan and visit with you. And see all the great things there is to offer, I consider Japan as my 2nd home:)
Pic #3 looks like some 60′s advertisement photograph.
Kudoz!
Looked funny…
The person with pink hat at #15 and #18, I think that is Remilia Scarlet hat from Touhou.
So the question is, that person is a “he” or a “she”…?
I love how these events are so celebratory in Japan (as I see it). Nothing much really seems to happen at book launches (for the public) like this in the US or UK, at least not with that happy vibe I see in Japanese launches. Very unique.
Is this book available in e-book format, anybody knows?
I have copies in the US for sale – reasonable shipping: http://tinyurl.com/yz3vvyv
ooo i might get a copy
