A mikoshi gets carried to the entrance of Meiji Jingu
I took a walk up to Meiji Jingu on the weekend. As always, there were lots of other people around and cameras snapping everywhere, but the walk through the grounds is so quiet and peaceful you hardly notice.
I didn’t take many shots, but here are a few that captured the day.

Priests on hand for a wedding ceremony, very popular place on the weekends
The wedding party passes through the courtyard
The walk down the gravel pathway in the shade of the trees is very peaceful despite the crowd

Areat way to recharge the batteries for the hectic week ahead. Even a wedding ceremony is a peaceful and quite colorful event. If I ever make it over there, you’ll have to show me all thee great places.
