Another day, another matsuri (festival), this time in Sakuragaoka-cho (桜丘町), Shibuya. This was just a local matsuri involving the kids carrying the omikoshi through the streets. Looks like they had a good time.

Just how many matsuries are held? Seems like 1 is just done and another starts up. Is this a weekly occurance or monthly? To bad things have to be put away so they don’t get stollen. But it sure looks like every one had a great time. And another thing they are so colorful. A treat for all the senses.
I love how they use so many different colours on their Matsuri. As a Brazilian who knows a lot about carnival I can quite relate to it. It’s absolutely beautiful. Keep the beautiful and informative pictures coming. ^_^
