Odaiba Gundam Wedding
A special wedding event was held at the base of the 1/1 Gundam RX78 at Odaiba on August 25, 2009. The couple was chosen out of over 500 entries by T&G wedding planners. They have a new born daughter they have named Sayla （せいら） from the Gundam series.

Tomino-san, the Director of the Gundam series makes a special gift presentation to the couple to mark the occasion
Tomino-san is warmly applauded by the crowd
A few laughs and smiles for the family as they enjoy the spotlight
Gundam stands out strongly against the black sky, letting people know he is still in charge
Balloons are prepared for the crowd to launch high into the night sky
A quick flick of the shoulder and a nod to the Olympic Committee by Gundam. Tokyo is bidding to host the 2016 Olympic, Paralympic Games

On pict.#20 the balloons in the background look like champgne bubbles rising from a glass. What an epic way to consumate your vows to each other. Was this shown on tv also? Even with the crowds, you got some great closeup of the family.

Thanks. I found it really difficult to take these photos because there were so many people with cameras battling for positions. I had to hold the camera above my head and guess most of the time. It was worth it though, because the atmosphere was great.
I dont think it was shown on TV. It was more like a family event with thousands in the cast of extended family.

You took really great photos even though it was an event at night.
Thanks. I dont like using a flash so I tried to buy equipment that can work well in low light. The lens I use normally picks up background colors really well so that is good also.
