Truck advertising for Gundam DVD at Shibuya Station
The Gundam 00 Complete Best limited edition DVD went on sale on July 8th, 2009. I spotted this truck driving through Shibuya advertising ガンダム00.

The Gundam name is said to come from the 2 English words of “gun” and “freedom” to make Gundom. The head of the animation team Mr. Tomino then changed it to the current title, suggesting that Gundam signified a powerful unit wielding a gun powerful enough to hold back enemies, like a hydroelectric dam holding back floods. There were many people at Odaiba when I took these photos., Everyone was scrambling to find a place to take a photo of Gundam. Mobile phone cameras were going wild!

I really enjoy the advertising concept they use there in Japan. What not better timing for that release with the Gundam statue in Odiaba. IMO they should have someone in the back handing out samples of the Gundam Dvd to help with sales.xD What do you think?
There are a lot of merchandise tents at Odaiba next tot he Gundam statue, where you can buy souveniers. I am not sure whether DVDs were on sale as well.

hmm, in my opinion Japanese advertising is much better than here in Germany.
The timing was chosen well,too.
