If you thought all convenience stores in Japan were the same, branded as a Lawson, 7 Eleven, ampm or other type, then you need to take a closer look at the convenience store at Maihama in the new Disneyland Hotel.
At first glance it appears like a normal hotel lobby shop, but when you venture inside you see the familiar rows of instant-ramen packages, potato chips, soft drinks and a few other surprises as well.
The material used for the shelving is the main distinguishing factor between a normal convenience store and this Disney version. The use of the wooden shelving really gives it a lift. The decorative top of the shelves is also a nice feature.
From outside looking back in, you can make out the palm trees that are in the store and also see the decorative work that has gone into the store.
Some areas retained their natural convenience store look more than others
As well as the usual convenience store items there were also some premium goods here.
Surprisingly there weren’t a lot of Disney related goods on display.
This picture I took right next to the store entry. These are the main stairs going up to the hotel lobby.

Ohayo gozaimasu,
Just ate breakfast, banana, applefritter and coffee, what a combination eh? My two greatest things I enjoy Japan and Disney all combined in 1. A true testement of two things coming together. And this one stays open 24 hours. Even the convience stores at Disney World only stay open till 10 or 11. Those wooden shelves w/the decorative tops really stand out and give it a classy look.
At least i saw 2 american products,Pringles and Tostitos :). I was wondering when We'd get to see these photos but you've delivered as usual domo arigato! 🙂 Now if I could only get there 🙁
You know Rilakkuma would really like to go there he'd fit in nicely, say hi to him for me.
